This class will be Saturday, November 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fiber Frolic Retreat
Fear of short-rows haunts many otherwise confident knitters, but this essential knitting skill is easily mastered when you understand how they work. Short rows are like puzzle pieces -- they add shaping, curves or soft angles to you knitting without increasing or decreasing. Explore several different techniques for making and keeping track of short rows -- Wrap and Turn, Japanese and German, as well as how to substitute Japanese or German for the more commonly encountered Wrap and Turn.
In class we will use the technique to explore their use in design, by creating a small ball for your (or our cat's) entertainment. Catnip included for those who want it! =)
